Smart Access Automation has recently provided an excellent solution to the security needs of the Uniting Age Well Aged Care Centre in Sydney by supplying and installing a comprehensive system of boom gate barriers. This was a sweeping solution that ensured maximum security for the facility. The boom gates were strategically installed at the entrance and exit of the car park, giving the Centre’s management and staff peace of mind. The boom gate barriers were carefully fitted with a range of advanced features that standard boom gates lack, making it the perfect turnkey security solution for any site. With this impressive system in place, the Uniting Age Well Aged Care Centre is now assured of a fully secure facility for their clients. We at Smart Access Automation are proud to have executed this successful project, and we look forward to working with other clients in need of quality security systems.

The gate has been designed to prioritize safety and visibility, especially during night time. The illuminated boom arm has been installed with reflective orange strips which further increases its visibility and safety. These reflective orange strips will serve as a warning to anyone approaching the gate, ensuring that there are no accidental collisions in the dark. In addition to these reflective strips, the gate has been fitted with vibrant blue warning safety beacon lighting that works in tandem with a loud warning siren. This cautionary system is designed to alert any nearby individuals that the boom gate is in operation and that they should proceed with caution. By combining these visual and audio cues, the overall safety of the parking barrier has been significantly bolstered, ensuring its users complete peace of mind.

It’s important to prioritize safety in any facility, whether it be a car park or an aged care home. One way to maximize safety is by installing an anti-collision feature, similar to what Box Hill Uniting Age Well experienced. By utilizing sensors in the ground, cars and boom arms are protected from damage and potential safety hazards.

However, safety goes beyond just the operations of the boom gate. The security of the site and its inhabitants is also essential. This is why at Sydney Uniting Age Well, a magnetic lock was installed. To ensure no unauthorized vehicle could pass through, Australian Bollards’ boom gate magnetic lock is powder-coated yellow for visibility. This way, even if someone attempted to lift the boom gate arm, the security of the area would not be compromised. By prioritizing safety and security, both those who operate and inhabit the facility can rest easy.
